Dust is attracted by a static charge when the television is on. This charge acts as a magnet for airborne particles. The first step to clean your television is to turn it off. This will extinguish the charge.

For this procedure, you will need the following items:

- Measuring cup
- Soft cloth or chamois, two pieces
- Distilled water
- Isopropyl alcohol or clear vinegar

1) Fill a measuring cup with almost 1/3 cup of distilled water. Do not use tap water. Tap water can leave a residue due to suspended minerals and salts in the water.

2) Add to your solution almost 1/3 cup of isopropyl alcohol or vinegar.

3) Dab a soft cloth or chamois in your solution and allow it to wick into the cloth. Do not use a paper towel, tissue, or other policy material. A clean, soft cotton cloth is all that's required. Squeeze the cloth to remove excess liquid. The cloth should not be dripping, but damp.

4) Use straight motions to moderately wipe dust and debris from the television surface. It is critically important that inordinate force is not used during this process. Be polite and light in all things that you do. If you have a stubborn spot, apply more solution to your cloth and clean the offending area using a circular appeal until the spot is removed. Patience is more important than force, so all the time be gentle.

5) Use a second cloth to moderately dry the outside of your television. If you missed a spot, return to step 3 above. If not, the cleaning process is complete.

Maintaining a clean television helps keep the ability you enjoyed when it was first placed in service. It also ensures the top resale value if resold. With small effort, these instructions will help you keep the integrity of your Lcd television for years to come.
